LOC #37 and PYG #14

Hello my creative friends! I have a couple of DT works to share with you today.  This first card if for Left Of Center Challenges.  Have you stopped by lately?  We now have weekly challenges, yay!  This weeks sponsor is Just Some Lines. I was so excited when they were added to our list of sponsors I just adore their images.  I got to play with The Eater, and in case you couldn't guess our theme this week is "monochrome" (or you can always go the LOC direction).
I've colored her with my chartreuse pencil in various shades. My lime ink pad was close so I used direct to paper technique to make the background on the card base and I found some greenish glitter glue in my stash that was very close in color as well. Added some washi tape and voila!

Next up is the mid-way reminder for PunkYouGirl Challenges.  This month's theme is "skeletons and secrets".  I had this fabulous image that I just had to put on a card.  This image was designed by Lisa Tyrell and she very generously shared them with the DT a while back. You can see more samples using  her creations here.
I love the shape of this skull and wanted to feature it on my card/  I got this center step card template I wanted to try out along with the rose background paper from my stash. I colored her rose with pencils and used a white gel pen for high-lights.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you swing by LOC and PunkYouGirl to check out the current challenges and join in the fun!

LOC # 35 - Fairys

It's time for a new challenge over at Left of Center Challenges.  If you've stopped by the blog lately you probably already know but we are going weekly challenges! How fun is that?!?  This weeks theme is "fairys" and our amazing sponsor this time around is Delicious Doodles.  I chose to work with Mushroom Fairy.

I decided to go with more earth tone mushroom colors for this fairy and my card. I've colored her with pencils and then cut her out to put onto my card.  I started with kraft colored cardstock and some neutral colored flower paper from my stash. I added some washi tape at the top... I couldn't avoid the glare on it :(
Anyway I hope you check out ll the DT creations at LOC and then share your own fairy artwork with us.
